Join Dr Mari Wiliam Lecturer in Modern History for this FREE online Taster Session
The phenomenon of the Jazz Age emerged in the aftermath of World War I, and its legacy is one of ostentation, glamour, and challenging traditional gender norms. However, the Jazz Age is only one version of living in interwar Britain, a nation that still suffered from deep deprivation and poverty. In this taster session, Dr. Mari Wiliam will explore three different experiences of life in Britain during the Jazz Age: slums and struggles, spiritual beliefs and s茅ances, and flappers and queerness. Join us for a glimpse of a pivotal period in cultural and social history.
