The Centre for Health Economics & Medicines Evaluation (CHEME) have an established reputation of over twenty years of research and teaching health economics and pharmacoeconomics. Our key research themes are public health economics and the economics of prevention across the life course; and pharmaceutical economics, policy, prescribing and medicines use.
At CHEME we undertake collaborative methodological and applied research to inform practice and policy, by supporting effective and equitable decision-making and resource allocation. The 2021 Research Excellence Framework indicated that 95% of our research is internationally excellent or world leading.
Pharmaceutical Economics, Policy and Prescribing Research Group (PEPPER)
Pharmaceutical Economics, Policy and Prescribing Research Group (PEPPER) in the North Wales Medical School, led by Professor Dyfrig Hughes. We focus on methodological research in economic evaluation and behavioural health economics; and applied research in the context of medicines, health technologies and global health challenges.
Public Health and Prevention Economics Research Group (PHERG)
Public Health and Prevention Economics Research Group (PHERG) in the School of Health Sciences at 亚洲色吧, led by Professor Rhiannon Tudor Edwards. Within trial-based and novel study designs, PHERG research adopts a life-course model and applies health economics to public health and prevention, well-being and well-becoming, increasingly within the context of sustainability and climate change. We measure cost effectiveness, social value and well-being.
